Assam on Saturday reported 542 new COVID-19 cases, 22 less than the previous day, with the tally increasing to 5,91,659, a bulletin issued by the National Health Mission here said. Ten more fatalities due to the infection raised the death toll to 5,693, it said. The number of active cases declined to 5,056 as against 5,158 recorded on the previous day.
