Chaturdashi Tithi during Krishna Paksha in the month of Phalguna is celebrated as Maha Shivaratri. Hindu Devotees eat only one time on Trayodashi and take Sankalp to observe full-day fast on Shivaratri and observe parana on the next day i.e, Chaturdashi.
