A director of Google’s popular video service on Tuesday said that the paid version of YouTube music platform will now be accusable in India on the raising data consumption and demand Indian strains across the globe. YouTube launched paid and unpaid platform for music which has all Indian music with all style and western charts.
YouTube is the only platform offering online videos in India. YouTube Music had been available across 29 countries. YouTube Director of Product Management for Music Products T Jay Fowler told Press Trust of India (PTI),
“We are seeing a lot of engagement across a diverse set of content in India and India is exporting tremendous amount of music culture. We have seen an explosive amount of growth in terms of consumption in India over last two years and I think it will be missed the opportunity if we don’t bring YouTube music experience or delay any further.”
The YouTube music app built for India is different from the app that is available in other countries. According to YouTube, between March 1-7, the top three overall artists on the global top artists’ chart were all Indians- Neha Kakkar, Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu.
YouTube has announced an unpaid version of the music app which will be ad-supported and also paid version of Rs 99 per month that will allow users to play songs and videos in the background even during using other apps also while the phone is locked. The premium YouTube app will be completely advertisement free with the option of offline downloads.Share this to your,
