World Theatre Day is celebrated every year on 27 March by the International Theatre Institute (ITI) centers and the theatre community across the globe.

The day is commemorated to raise the importance of theatre arts, their position in the sphere of entertainment and the transformations that theatre brings to people’s lives. This year marks the 60th anniversary of World Theatre Day.

However, the past two years did not go smooth for theatre artists across the globe as they were not able to showcase their talent to people due to the pandemic-induced lockdowns and restrictions.
