About 50 people died and more than lakhs have relocated following heavy rains affected to flooding in various parts of the country. The worst-hit regions are Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala, rescue operations have been started to vacate people to safety.
In Kerala, which let worst floods in a century last year, the weather office has said a rain warning for nine districts today.
In Karnataka above two lakhs have been replaced in the last one week, is expected to get a stay as rain intensity is suspected to reduce.
About 2.85 lakh have been taken out of places in Maharashtra. The NDRF crews are sending out rescue services in Kolapur and Sangli.
