The most powerful earthquake on Thursday after 20 years in a swath of Southern California and some parts of Nevada.
In the incident most suffered from injuries and destruction, followed by a multitude of continuing aftershocks.
The magnitude of 6.4 earthquake occurred at 10.3 a.m. in the Mojave Desert, the town of Ridgecrest, California.
Two house fires were recorded in the town. Emergency teams rushed to the spots to turn off the fires, gas leaks and cracked roads were also seen at the inciedent, said Kern County Fire Chief David Witt.
