The IED blast occurred near Gogunda village during a joint team of security was out on an anti-Naxal operation on Tuesday.
Two District Reserve Guards (DRG) were hurt when Naxals exploded an improvised explosive device (IED) in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, police said.
The patrolling team, involving personnel from the DRG and the Special Task Force, was off to a forest at a hill near Gogunda when the ultras triggered the IED blast, he said.
The event led to an exchange of fire.
“Two DRG jawans were injured in the blast,” the official said.
The army was hurried to the spot and the injured personnel were soon taken from the forest and they will be airlifted to Raipur for treatment, he added.Share this to your,
