The respective defence exchange among Indian and the US is expected to reach USD 18 billion by year end, the Pentagon said on Saturday. The announcement comes in front of the ninth India-US Defense Technologies and Trade Initiative or DTTI gathering meeting in New Delhi one week from now.
The DTTI looks to distinguish open doors for co-improvement and co-generation of military equipment, work together on science and innovation ventures and mutually investigate approach changes expected to encourage the military relationship.
Undersecretary Of Defense For Acquisition And Sustainment Ellen M Lord said the US is resolved to reinforce its association with India while assisting military-to-military connections and participation.
“Respective safeguard exchange, basically zero of every 2008, will arrive at an expected USD 18 billion not long from now,” she told journalists at the Pentagon.
At a gathering of the Defense Policy Group in August, India and the US considered continuous participation as of late in resistance exchange, innovation, acquisition, industry, R&D and mil-to-mil commitment.
