Schools and colleges to be shut due to heavy rainfall

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) foretold extreme rainfall in North Konkan regions of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Palghar for the following four-six hours, Palghar representative Kailash Shinde announced regulations for the closing of all schools and colleges in the region.

The government schools and colleges have been closed in Thane. A landslide in Raigad near Poladpur on Mumbai-Goa highway following continuous rainfall, attending to the end of vehicular action.

Experiencing Mumbai’s condition following continuous rain, residents posted videos of waterlogged residences and roads in Palghar. The Central Railway has announced a report, asserting that trains on trans-harbour and fourth passage towards Kharkopar on Central Railway are going smoothly. Though due to excessive rains, trains on the main and harbour line are operating at a cautious momentum, and therefore they are delayed.
