SC orders to airlift Unnao rape survivor to Delhi

On Monday the Supreme Court ordered that the Unnao rape survivor, who endured crucial injuries in a car-truck crash last week, be conveyed from Lucknow to New Delhi for better medication at the AIIMS.

Minutes earlier, the apex court had postponed on the hearing of the issue of transferal of the woman and her injured lawyer, moreover, the hearing on Friday as none of on behalf of their families arrived and sought their transfer here.

Nevertheless, the family lawyer soon after appeared before a bench of Justices Deepak Gupta and Aniruddha Bose and said the mother now desired her wounded daughter to be shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for considerable care since she was still in crucial condition.

The Bench took a record of the submissions of lawyer D. Ramakrishna Reddy, representing the victim, and ordered to shift the victim from King George’s Medical College in Lucknow to the AIIMS.

Scheduling the case on Friday, it also made apparent that the family of the injury lawyer can also solicit the similar assistance and approach it furthermore when they want it.
