India vice-captain Rohit Sharma on Sunday set a new world record for the most number of sixes hit by a batsman in T20 worldwide
cricket in the ongoing second match between India vsWest Indies at Lauderhill in Florida.
Rohit Sharma overtook West Indies legend Chris Gayle to set in place the new record with his 106th six in T20I cricket.
Rohit reached the milestone in the 11th over whenever he success Sunil Narine for his 2nd six in the match. Rohit had hit 2 sixes in the 1st
match on Saturday.
Rohit is already the highest six-hitter for India in ODI cricket with 232, a feat which he achieved last year. He is definitely ranked fourth
in the overall list in the 50-over format.
Rohit has been in superb form with the bat this year and then was the highest run-scorer in last month’s Cricket World Cup 2019 with 648
runs from ten matches.
Rohit is also the only batsman to reach four hundreds in T20I cricket. He is actually averaging over 32 and then has a strike rate of over
