Restaurant staff in Delhi was arrested for duplicating credit and debit cards

An employee of a restaurant in Delhi has been jailed for allegedly duplicating customers debit and credit cards and cheating with Rs 4 lakh on Wednesday. The employee has been recognised as Pankaj Kumar after the police investigation.

A private bank filed a case on Thursday stating that few of their customers who were having credit and debit cards have reported contradicted transactions. Through the investigation, it was reported that one restaurant in Connaught Place held the common point of buying all the cards.

“The dates were matched by the police of the cards which were compromised at that restaurant and found that Pankaj, a waiter staff, was the one who had served all the customers whose cards had disputed transactions” police adds. The police set a trap at the restaurant and seized Pankaj and one screamer was recovered from him, he said.
