Ravan-1 satellite was launched into the orbit by Sri Lanka scientists

Sri Lanka’s two engineers who are studying aerospace engineering at the Japanese Kyushu Institute of Technology launched a satellite named of Ravana. which weighs 1.05kg.

The satellite Ravan-1 is developed by ThirinduDayaratne and DulaniChamika.

They handed over the satellite to Japan’s space agency on February 18. Later it was delivered to the International Space Station by US ‘Cygnus-1’ spacecraft on the 17th of April and on June 17th the satellite was launched to the orbit.
