BCCI appoints Rahul Dravid as Head of Cricket at NCA.

Former India captain Rahul Dravid was on Monday approved as Head of Cricket at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), the BCCI has introduced.

Dravid was anticipated to take incharge as NCA head from July 1 but his job at the India Cements triggered the delay.

The Committee of Administrators (CoA) requested Dravid to give up his post as vice-president of India Cements or remain on leave until he finishes his tenure.

India Cements and then sent him on leave to prevent conflict of interest.

“Mr Dravid will oversee all cricket related activities at NCA and will be involved in mentoring, coaching, training and motivating players, coaches and support staff at the NCA,” BCCI stated in a announcement.

“Dravid will also work closely with the National men’s and women’s Head coaches and coaches for India Developmental teams including India A, India Under 19, India Under 23 teams, in the identification of key training and development objectives,” the announcement additional.

The BCCI does not specify the tenure of scheduled appointment for Dravid, who can be responsible for supervising progress of the developmental teams and can provide required efforts on the similar to the senior men’s and women’s head mentors.
