Rabindranath Tagore commonly known by his sobriquets Gurudev, Kabiguru, and Biswakabi, was a polymath, poet, musician, and composer from the Indian subcontinent, who lived in late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup is the 12th edition of the Cricket World Cup, an international cricket match tournament contested by Men’s national teams from the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is hosted by England and Wales from 30 May to 14 July 2019.
Today’s World Cup match was played out between India and Bangladesh in Edgbaston, England.
It happens to be familiar that, every match starts with both teams included in a ceremony and singing their National anthems.
Both the teams sang their National anthems one after another. The one beautiful thing to be observed was, both the National anthem of India and Bangladesh were authored by Rabindranath Tagore.
Fans celebrated as the two squads sang their country’s anthems – India’s Jana Gana Mana and Bangladesh’s Amar Sonar Bangla since both were authored by the applauded poet, Rabindranath Tagore.
