Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil is confident that the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance would get 220 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections.
He said that discussions on the alliance are at the last stage. Those who are thinking that alliance will not happen will be disappointed. He is confident that they will get 220 seats in the upcoming assembly elections.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has claimed that the sharing of seats in the alliance would be tougher than India-Pakistan partition. Patil said that Raut is a good writer hence he gave such an example but working out the seat-sharing formula will not be that difficult.
Raut added that Maharashtra is a big state and sharing of 288 seats is a bigger exercise than India-Pakistan partition.
