Pakistan’s news anchor was gunned down

A Pakistani news anchor was killed on Tuesday, police said.

Bol News channel anchor, Mureed Abbas, was shot dead while a fight of personal conflict in Karachi’s Khayaban-e-Bukhari region on Tuesday, police said.

DIG South Sharjeel Kharal told that friends of the anchor notified the police that he had a financial dispute with someone.

DIG added that a friend, Khizar Hayat, also suffered two bullets in the conflict. Hayat was moved to a private hospital with wounds.

Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) Executive Director Seemin Jamali validated that Abbas had been declared dead due to multiple bullet injuries on the chest.
