Pakistan President dissolves Assembly on PM Khan’s recommendation; PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to accept the court’s decision

The Chief Justice of Pakistan has reached the Supreme Court to review petitions filed by Opposition leaders against the dissolution of National Assembly of Pakistan, according to media reports by Dunya News.

Pakistan Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhary said as per his knowledge, there should be no court proceedings on Sunday. The comment comes amid reports of Chief Justice of Pakistan reviewing petitions filed by Opposition leaders against the dissolution of National Assembly.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said he will accept the court’s decision on dissolution of assembly and early elections, adding the polls will be a “clean sweep.”

“The Prime Minister will continue his duties under Article 224 of the Constitution. The Cabinet has been dissolved,” Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting Fawad Hussain tweeted.
