On the day of 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Divas, PM Narendra Modi pays tribute to the soldiers

Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India paid tributes to the soldiers of the Kargil war of 1999 who fought for the nation and lost their lives, it is observed as 20th anniversary of the conflict.

Modi on his tweet wrote, “I pray from my heart for all the heroic sons of Mother India [Maa Bharati] on Kargil Vijay Divas. This day reminds us of the courage, bravery and dedication of our soldiers.”

The victory of India in the war is celebrated as Kargil Vijay Divas.

“During the Kargil war in 1999, I had the opportunity to go to Kargil and show solidarity with our brave soldiers,” Modi tweeted.

“The visit to Kargil and interactions with soldiers is unforgettable,” he added.

He in the photos is seen communicating with Army men and meeting injured soldiers.
