Bengaluru: SiddalingappaYeddyurappa chief personality of the BJP party of Karnataka is all settled to accept the pledge as the state chief minister at 6 pm on Friday following state Governor VajubhaiVala admitted his stake to form the government. This will be his fourth time as CM of Karnataka.
On Friday the Lingayat’s most powerfull man met the Governor around 10 am, three days after the HD Kumaraswamy-led alliance collapsed due to loss of trust vote.
After the meeting with the Governor, he said “I met the governor to form the government and take oath as CM. Governor has agreed and given the letter. I will take oath as CM between 6 to 6:15 pm today”
H D Kumaraswamy Former Karnataka CM had presented his resignation to the Governor after the Congress-JD(S)-led government failed to gain trust vote in the VidhanaSoudha on Tuesday, July 23. The 14-month-old Congress-JD-S government lost the floor test by 105-99 after three weeks of intense potential conflict in the state.
75-year-old the most efficient BJP politician Yeddyurappa, of Karnataka, has a career traversing over five decades. He became the Karnataka CM on three occurrences ie in 2007, 2008 and later in 2018.
Yeddyurappa, a very strong RSS Swayamsevak, followed the right-wing Hindu outfit when he was hardly 15, and left his federal roots in the Jana Sangh, the BJP’s predecessor, in his native place Shikaripura in Shivamogga district.
