The Noida authority with the help of Google will launch a traffic system based on real-time data in google maps in Ghaziabad from next week. The aim of the project is to clear the traffic sooner and to provide a smooth commute. The Adaptive Traffic Signal System (ATSS) will be operational from March 20 in three busiest places in the city, Rajnigangha crossing, BSNL telephone exchange crossing and Sector 12’s Chowda Chowk.
The system works on cloud-sourced data through Google maps which detects the traffic at designated intersections. The project has experimented between 7 and 9 at the three busiest places in the city. The result was that there was a 50% reduction in the congestion during the evening and a 20% reduction during the morning.
The Authority looking at the positive results now plans to set up the project in all the junctions permanently. It is expected that the system to be incorporated in other major intersections like T-Series crossing, sectors 3-4 crossing and Noida CityCentre metro station by the end of 2019.Share this to your,
