Jonty Rhodes, former South African batsman has applied for the India team’s fielding coach’s post, presenting him amongst the most high profile candidate to have applied for the post.
He said that,he has applied for the position of India’s new fielding coach.
He is one of the excellent fielders and is recognised for the flying ‘run-out in the 1992 World Cup.
Rhodes was Indian Premier League team Mumbai Indians fielding coach.
A regular guest of India, Rhodes had conducted a fielding works for a T20 Mumbai League team.
The BCCI has called applications for different coachposts, head coach, batting coach, bowling coach and fielding coach and fixed deadline as July 30.
