Muslims and Dalits are demanding for arms licenses for self-defence as there is an increase in mob lynching incidents.

The pan-India campaign will begin from Lucknow on July 26.

Shia cleric and General Secretary of Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind, Maulana Kalbe Jawwad will be arranging the first camp in Lucknow on the recommendation of Supreme Court lawyer Mehmood Pracha.

As per the cleric, camps would be arranged in 12 cities, with six in Uttar Pradesh.

The camp will guarantee that claimants with criminal predecessors or those with political or business affairs are kept out.
