Chief Minister of Goa, Manohar Parrikar died after an illness on Sunday. Parrikar was of 63 who had also been the Defence minister. According to the Home Minister, the state funeral with full military honours would be conducted on Monday. Chief Minister of Goa died after pancreatic ailment at his private residence in Dona Paula.
MHA Joint Secretary has said in the circular that, “It has been decided by the government that state funeral will be accorded to the departed dignitary.”The final rites of Parrikar will be conducted at 5 pm on Monday at the Miramar beach, near to the memorial of Goa’s first chief minister Dayanand Bandodkar, a state BJP spokesperson said. After Parrikar’s death on Sunday evening, the body was kept at his residence for the night. The central government has declared national mourning on Monday. The national flag will fly at half-mast over the country.Share this to your,
