Justice Arun Mishra refused to rescue himself from hearing cases related to land acquisition act

Justice Arun Mishra on Wednesday would not recuse himself from the Supreme Court Constitution Bench that is hearing a supplication to reevaluate one of his own decisions on the 2013 Land Acquisition Act.

A seat headed by Mishra and containing Justices Indira Banerjee, Vineet Saran, MR Shah, and Ravindra Bhat passed the request, Bar and Bench revealed. The judges will begin hearings for the situation from 2 pm on Wednesday. Mishra had wouldn’t recuse himself from the case on October 15 and said that his “soul is clear, my uprightness is clear before God, I won’t move”.
