Jio announced that by next, people can expect 5G services as they have already laid down the solutions for this to happen. This 5G solution will use all made in India tools and technologies and the company will go ahead with it after getting the spectrum from the government.
“Jio has created a complete 5G solution from scratch, that will enable us to launch a world-class 5G service in India, using 100 percent homegrown technologies and solutions,” Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani said at the 43rd Reliance AGM meeting.
5G will be the next generation of mobile broadband that will be replacing 4G LTE. This technology promises faster download and upload speed with less lagging. The auction for the 5G spectrum is yet to be taken in India. Till now, if the development with regards 5G is concerned, India still lags behind other countries. Having said that, Jio has already come up with a plan and they have made it clear that the network has been developed and deployed in a way that makes the transition from 4G to 5G seamless and quick. The company says that once the 5G is ready for deployment in India, it will roll-out the Jio network at an accelerated pace.
Due to the concerns regarding the security because of using technologies form ZTE and Huawei(Both Chinese companies), Jio has decided to use everything from scratch and made in India. Not long back, the United Kingdom banned the use of Huawei based technology in 5G networks and ordered its removal from wherever it has been used. India too is extremely cautious of technology and telecom gear supplied by Chinese companies. The Wednesday Jio 5G announcement, on this account, is bound to please the government.
Using these technologies, we can create compelling solutions that span multiple Industry verticals and ecosystems like media, financial services, new Commerce, education, healthcare, agriculture, smart cities, smart manufacturing, and smart mobility,” said Ambani. As a telecom network, Reliance Jio is already making waves and with 5G coming into the picture, Jio will aim to solidify itself as a brand.
