Syed Akbaruddin, New Delhi’s permanent representative at the United Nations has said that India will soar high if Pakistan ‘stoops low’ taking the Kashmir dispute at the United Nations General Assembly session.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he will raise the Kashmir matter at the General Assembly session in New York City on 27th September. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to address the session.
Addressing a press conference, Akbaruddin has said that it was up to each country to determine its own trajectory on how to approach global platforms. The tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated after India’s decision to revoke Jammu and Kashmir’s special constitutional status on 5th August. Pakistan has responded by downgrading diplomatic ties and suspending bilateral trade
