Dubai International Airport has begun receiving Indian currency for transactions from July 1. It is valid on purchases worth between Rs 100 and Rs 2,000. The outstanding amount will be paid back in dirhams.
The Indian rupee is the 16th currency to be valid for direct transactions at the Dubai Duty-Free. This is available in three terminals inside the Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport in the UAE.
