On Monday the India Meteorological Department stated that very heavy rainfall was expected at remote places across central India also in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
IMD besides stated that very heavy rainfall was expected at few places across Konkan and Goa and in Gujarat area. Rainfall is expected to be followed with heavy winds at the speed of 40-50 kmph across the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and on the Gujarat-Maharashtra-Goa-Karnataka coasts.
There is more a prediction of heavy rainfall over northern India at remote places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and northeastern states of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Fishermen on the Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Andaman coasts have been told not to feel into the seas.
A low-pressure region is expected to grow over the northeast Bay of Bengal while next 24 hours and is anticipated to increase more considered later, the IMD said.
