The Karnataka Assembly will address the confidence proposal led by Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on July 18, Congress leader Siddaramaiah stated on Monday.
The combination of the Congress and the Janata Dal is approaching to dropping its majority, as 16 of its MLAs have signed the resignation which is yet to be accepted, Kumaraswamy claimed Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar to decide a date and time for the floor examination. The alliance has been involved in attempting to get back its MLAs’ relief for approximately 10 days.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has stated it is set for the floor test, considers the government has dropped its majority. The party has asked for Kumaraswamy to quit.
The rebel MLAs are at a hotel in Mumbai. Fifteen of them have registered an appeal in the Supreme Court on the delay by the Speaker in allowing their resignations. The court will proceed its hearing their case on Tuesday.
