Digital India empowered people, reduced corruption: PM Modi
Digital India is a strategy presented by the Government of India so as to ensure the Government’s services were made available to citizens electronically by enhanced online communications and by improving Internet connectivity or by generating the country digitally motivated in the field of modern technology. The initiative consists of plans to connect rural areas with high-speed internet networks.
Digital India comprises of three core components: the development of secure and also steady digital infrastructure, providing government services digitally, and then universal digital literacy.
It was launched on 1 July 2015 by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘Digital India’ celebrates 4th year anniversary today.
On the 4th anniversary of Narendra Modi’s government flagship program ‘Digital India’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday asserted that the initiative have empowered people, reduced corruption and also improved public service delivery to benefit the poor.
India have emerged as a digitally empowered nation. But a lot more has to be done to enhance existence. Since its launch in 2015 by PM Narendra Modi, the Digital India initiative have achieved many milestones.
Digital India was unveiled with an objective of connecting rural areas with high-speed Internet networks and improving upon digital literacy.
To celebrate 4 years of Digital India initiative, Union Minister of Electronics & IT and Law & Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad would attend a commemorative event in New Delhi.
The minister would electronically launch SAMEER Centre for Electromagnetic Environmental Effects in Visakhapatnam, Wi-Fi empowered Campus Networks at Osmania University, Hyderabad and at North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong and release a special issue of Yojana on Citizen Centric e-Services.
