The Government has received Complaints against banks for not approving or delaying payment to its applicants of the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) under the Pradhan MantriAwasYojana-Urban had been received from government said by Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister of State (independent charge) in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.
Subsidies at the interest to be paid on housing loans beneath this scheme and people belonging to economically weaker section (EWS), low-income group (LIG) and middle-income group (MIG) can apply for it under this scheme.
The minister admitted querying rose from BJP MP T.G. Venkatesh, about the complaints received against the Primary Lending Institutions (PLIs) for not sanctioning of credit linked subsidy or delaying the subsidy under CLSS component of PMAY-U.
The nodal agencies receiving complaints against are National Housing Bank and Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) he continued by saying it.
He said the Ministry had investigated the concerns that had happened with the two nodal agencies – National Housing Bank and Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) and placed in a “grievance redressal mechanism”.
So far, the subsidy of ₹14,482 crore had been disbursed to 6.43 lakh beneficiaries under CLSS.
