Bill Gates praised Indian authorities for fighting coronavirus

Microsoft founder Bill Gates praised India’s government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to fight the new coronavirus.

Gates said: “We greatly appreciate your leadership and the action steps that you and your government have taken to smooth out the COVID-19 incidence curve in India.”

Among the measures that Gates noted was a special regime introduced by the Indian government in the country. As a result of the introduction of this regime, movement across the territory of India was limited.

Gates also noted the Aarogya Setu mobile application, commissioned by the Indian government to track the situation with COVID-19.

Recall, on April 24, more than 23 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were detected in India.

We also recall that the special regime introduced in India negatively hit the situation of the country’s population, as well as the economy.
