Azam Khan’s sexist comment took over the Lok Sabha to turn into huge firestorm

Azam Khan, the Samajwadi Party lawmaker’s sexist statement in the Lok Sabha intensified in a huge firestorm on Friday, the lawmakers from other opposition and ruling parties asked action on the Uttar Pradesh politician called by some, as a continued offender.

They also asked, Azam Khan’s suspension if he doesn’t apologise.

The decision on the statement by Azam would be taken by Speaker Om Birla who stated that he would conduct a meeting to review the event before coming for a decision.

Smriti Irani, Union Minister directed the charge.

She said nobody is supposed to misbehave with a woman and take away with it by just enacting it and nobody cannot be silent witnesses.”

Ravi Shankar Prasad, Law Minister instructed that Azam Khan apologise or suffer suspension.

Nirmala Sitharaman, Defence Minister told Azam Khan’s statement was entirely condemnable and sought representative action on him.
