Avaz app to help autism is now available in 50 countries

Avaz, a hardware device which is was started in 2009 is a picture and text-based communication app to help people with autism to communicate regarding their needs and express their thoughts.

The app was developed by Ajit Narayanan, an IIT-Madras alumnus and founder of Invention Labs, along with Vidyasagar, a Tamil Nadu-based social organization that run programmes for the differently-abled. Narayan Ramakrishnan, CEO of Avaz said that the app is currently available in 10 languages and is used by autistic people in over 50 countries.
