17 people trapped in an iron mine flood in the country’s northeast, says Chinese authorities.
The incidents emphasise proceeding difficulties with occupational safety despite a government initiative to develop standards.
The accident took place at 3 a.m. on Friday in the Heilongjiang region’s Cuihongshan. 26 of them escaped from those working in the mine at the time of the flood.
In recent months China has suffered industrial accidents. At least 78 people were killed in a blast at a chemical plant in the eastern city of Yancheng, in March.Share this to your,
