On early Wednesday morning, a sedan car flipped into a canal near Pollachi, Coimbatore. Six people, including two children, were killed in the accident. The police after the investigation said that the victims were of the same family, and belonged to Masakalipalayam in Coimbatore. The accident took place at around 1.30 a.m. at Gedimedu near Pollachi. The six of them were returning back home after visiting a temple in Palani.
The victims in the accident have been identified as R. Prakash (45), P. Chitra (40), Pooja (8), Sumathi (50), P. Latha (42) and Dharani (9). They were travelling from Udumalpet via Pollachi to Coimbatore. After Prakash lost his control over the vehicle, the car fell into the canal of the Parambikkulam Aliyar Project by killing all the six people.
All six family members were found dead. The police arrived at 6:30 a.m. and the sedan was pulled out from the canal by Fire and Rescue Services personnel. The Gomangalam police have started an investigation about the accident, by 7:30 a.m. the bodies of the victims in the tragedy was shifted to Government Hospital.Share this to your,
