The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has decided to reopen the registration link for Chartered Accountants examinations to be held in the month of May. The link for submitting the online applications will open from 4 May (10 am) till 6 May (11.59 pm). Once opened, those who wish to apply can do it through the official website icai.org.
The decision has been taken due to the surge in coronavirus cases across the country and to ensure that those who were not able to apply earlier can do it now.
The links will be available for all the CA exams i.e. Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate (IPC), Intermediate, Post Qualification Course viz. Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination, and International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT – AT).
A late fee of Rs 600 will be charged along with the application. The institute has announced that the last date to apply for this exam will not be extended further than 6 May.
Aspirants can follow these simple steps to apply:
Visit icai.org Click on the ‘Examination’ tab on the homepage On the new page, click on the ‘ICAI CA May, 2021’ link Register yourself and then fill the application form Pay the late fee and upload all the required documents Submit the form and save a copy Take a print out of the application
In a separate notice, the ICAI said it has also decided to waive off the condonation fees for the transactions falling between 1 April to 30 June, till 30 July. The decision has been taken as the Firms and Members are finding it difficult to fill Form 8 on time due to the pandemic.
