54 flights deviated and 52 were cancelled due to the heavy rainfall in Mumbai

Monday morning Mumbai saw heavy rainfall created largescale flight delays at the city airport.

Many incoming international flights have deviated since early morning on Tuesday, as per the airport official’s statement, because of stormy weather crosswinds and tailwinds, 54 flights have deviated and 52 cancelled.

Spice Jet Boeing slid off the runway and is still held at the edge due to which the main runway is shut and other flight deviations were made.

The airport officials were made to move flight services to the secondary runway, affecting the operations. The airport was shut for more than an hour due to poor visibility and extreme flooding which led the airport authorities to make such decisions.
