Five terrorists relating to Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed have reportedly infiltrated Kashmir and may attack defence forces in the valley.
A high alert has been uttered in the valley over the same. The terrorists reportedly infiltrated the valley from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
All terrorists are extremely skilled and may tackle security forces in Kashmir, sources have claimed.
Since more troops are being conscripted into the Kashmir valley, the Central government has set the Army and the Air Force toward the special alert in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Indian Air Force battler aircraft have been guarding the state following yesterday evening as part of the operational alarm. The measures have been taken due to the enhanced troop induction.
Over 280 troops of defenceunits are in the means of being stationed in the Kashmir valley, official sources said on Thursday.
They said the defence forces chiefly CRPF personnel, are being deployed in vulnerable spots in the city and other parts of the valley.
All major entrance and exodus paths of the city have been carried over by the Central Armed Paramilitary Forces (CAPFs) with a token occupancy of local police, they added.
Officials said that security has been revoked from some remote shrines due to some of the intelligence inputs that foreign terrorists are intending to target police guard over there.
Summer vacations have been preponed at educational institutes and they will be closed for 10 days starting Thursday, they said.
They added that some langars for the Amarnath Yatra have also been shut.
The Centre had initially ordered the deployment of around 10,000 central forces personnel to Kashmir to boost up the counter-insurgency operations and law and order services.Share this to your,
