29 killed in Indonesia floods

Floods occurred by torrential storms in Indonesia and have killed 29 people. Some more still missing, officials said on Monday. Indonesia’s disaster agency declared 29 deaths on Monday and said 13 more people were missing. About 12,000 have relocated from water-logged Bengkulu region with hundreds of buildings, bridges and roads destroyed.

The more affected region is Bengkulu Tengah district, the provincial capital, where 22 people died. The four major rivers in Bengkulu flood every time when it rains due to environmental destruction near their banks, activists said.
